Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • If you want your cake to be very cake-like, you are going to want to get your Oreo crumbs as fine as you can. I have found that the best way to do this is with a food processor. It’s so much faster than trying to get your crumbs fine by hand! Having finer crumbs will make your cake smooth and fluffy just like you spent the whole day baking!
  • You can also use a rolling pin to crush up your Oreos. My kids love doing it this way because I can place the Oreos in a bag and let them go to town crushing them all up. It’ll be a bit more chunky in your cake, but it’s still so delicious!
  • This recipe can easily be adapted to other flavors of Oreos. Use the same method and just switch out the Oreos! How yummy would it be to have a Mint Oreo cake in a mug? Or a Golden Oreo mug cake? What kind of Oreo would you try with this recipe? Let us know in the comments!

Storage

It isn’t likely that you won’t eat all of your single-serving mug cake. But on the off chance that you do have leftovers, you can store them in the fridge for up to 3 days!
